Pink Elephants 2
Pink Elephants 2 Slot Review (Thunderkick)
One of Thunderkick’s hottest high-volatility slots gets a sequel – Pink Elephants 2.
It’s got the same 4,096 ways to win, stacked symbols and Free Spins with symbol upgrades. This time the bonus plays slightly differently and the maximum win is almost 20% higher at 10,000x bet. All that is served in a quirky way with high volatility and a low hit frequency setting.
Pink Elephants 2 has been available exclusively at select online casinos like Casumo from 24 April and is fully released to the rest of slot sites on 6 May 2020.

Stacked Symbols + Mystery Scatter Feature
Pink Elephants 2 plays on a 4×6 reel with 11 regular but stacked symbols. As the highest-paying symbol in the game, the Pink Elephant also pays up to 10x for 6-of-a-kind. This semi-special symbol is also the one that rewards for just 2-of-a-kind.
From the more special symbols you’ll find the Wild and the Scatter, which have no coin value and don’t appear stacked in the base game. To add some thrill into the base game, the sequel also has the Mystery Scatter Symbol feature, which triggers randomly. When activated, you’ll get 1-5 Scatters anywhere on the screen. This increases the chance to win the main bonus game – Free Spins!
Free Spins Bonus with Symbol Upgrades
Get 3 or more Scatters to win 7, 11, 15 or 19 Free Spins. You’ll be able to re-trigger the feature with just 2 or more Scatters for 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 freespins, respectively.
Like Pink Elephants 1, this bonus is a game-changer. That’s because the four Sheep icons, which make up the high-paying symbols with the Pink Elephant, can level up. All you need to transform them into higher symbols is to collect Orbs. These overlay orbs can only be found on Pink Elephant symbols. Each time you fill up a meter of a Sheep, it’ll upgrade to the higher one.
The difference between the first game and the sequel is that each time you fill up a meter of a Sheep, it’ll upgrade to the higher one instead of straight into the Pink Elephant. Only when you level up the last symbol will all x4 Sheep turn into the Pink Elephant.
Keep in mind that the Pink Elephants are not wild but regular high symbols, but because they appear stacked, that’s more than enough to generate some impressive wins. Besides, for each level-up you also get +1 free spin and Wilds will also appear stacked throughout the bonus.
The bonus hit frequency is quite good – once in 200 spins or so – although that will largely depend how rewarding they end up to be. I had times when I triggered 3 bonuses in just 20 spins but none of them paid out more than 50x. Then one time I got away with a decent 523x win followed by another feature trigger several minutes later.
Thunderkick has done a great job “upgrading” a game that has already proven to be a major success. But only if you didn’t have high expectations, because this release is largely the same but with “better” graphics and a higher max win. By taking the safe route the developers didn’t mess up the game engine which still offers very decent Jumbo Win surprises which have attracted players since 2017. Thanks to the few tweaks, Pink Elephants 2 doesn’t only match but outperforms the original in several ways. And with bets ranging from 0.10 to 100 credits per spin, it’s one of the best Thunderkick slots that I’d recommend for casual players and high rollers alike.
