Dragonfall Slot Review (Blueprint Gaming) – Blueprint’s Very First Reactor Slot
Dragonfall is the first grid slot released by Blueprint Gaming.
This fire-breathing slot has an 8×8 grid with cluster pays and tumbling reels. Special features include moving Wilds with an increasing win multiplier, plus a couple of bonuses like Free Spins where it all comes together for wins of up to 25,000x total bet! Hold on to your dragon balls because this game is one of their most volatile yet!
For all Jammin’ Jars fans out there, Dragonfall is already available for play at select Blueprint casinos from 6 December 2019, including licensed and recommended slot sites like Casumo, where you can get a nice no-sticky bonus to try it out.
Here’s the official video preview from Blueprint Gaming:
Dragon’s Eye Special Symbol
While Push Gaming’s Jammin’ Jars slot is all about disco and fruits, Dragonfall has a bit more testosterone and Viking blood in it, featuring 6 regular symbols in total. You need 5 or more in a cluster to win (vertically or horizontally) between 0.10x – 100.00x your bet.
Because it’s a cluster-type slot with tumbling reels, upon each win the winning symbols will explode and create empty spaces for new symbols to fill in. If a win also contains one or more Wilds (Dragon’s Eye), upon re-spin they’ll move to a random empty position. When that happens, Wild symbol will get a +1 win multiplier which will be applied on a next win with the Wild.
Here’s the best part — If two or more Wilds with multipliers happen to be in a win, both multipliers are applied to that win!
Mega Fall Feature (Random)
Once in a while the slot may also trigger a Mega Fall by adding one or more Giant Egg symbols which are clusters of the same symbol. This guarantees a win each time.
But what you really want is to get 3 or more Dragon’s Eye symbols to win the Free Spins!
Free Falls aka Free Spins Bonus
Get 3 or more Dragon’s Eye symbols to start 6 Free Falls. If you happen to have any win multipliers on those Wilds, the better, because the bonus will not reset the Wilds!
Just like the base game, Wilds will multiply each other but what they can’t do is re-trigger free spins, so you’ll only have 6 spins to maximise your winnings! As a compromise, we get Sticky Dragon’s Eye Wilds, so each one in view will stick till the end of the spins.
Bonus Bet (Feature Buy)
One of the biggest and most unique perks of this slot is the Bonus Bet. Also available in many of their MegaWays slots like Return of Kong, this feature lets you buy the Free Spins bonus for 100x your bet, at any time.
Is it worth the risk?
Dragonfall Bonus Bet Experiment
What would happen if you used the Bonus Bet 10 times in a row? I decided to give it a shot and bought the feature at 1.00 Bet for 100.00 credits per bonus. The result is rather surprising:
- Average win: 180x
- Biggest win: 1,210x!
- Smallest win: 45x
As you can see, there were some really happy and sad moments. But if we don’t count the two extremes, then the average win with this mega-small sample turned out to be around 70x, which is not that bad, considering how much win potential there is.
This enchanting title brings a new dimension to our portfolio, with tumbling reels dropping red-hot prizes for players. Dragonfall’s strong aesthetic appeal and innovative features are sure to tempt brave players into the dragon’s magical layerJo Purvis, Director of Marketing and Relationships at Blueprint Gaming
Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal
Dragonfall is to a large extent a copy of Push Gaming’s Jammin’ Jars, but there are some seemingly small but important differences, other than the theme and epic score. For one thing, the slot has a bigger win potential of 25,000x and for the other, it’s got Feature Buy which, no surprise, some players have been dying for and which can change the course of the game quite a lot.
Bets go from 0.10 to 10 credits per spin (0.20-100 on the Jammin). Give it a shot at a recommended slot site and keep your eyes open for potential mega wins as they tend to disappear as quickly as they appear.
