Below I also recap what happened at this year’s EGT B2B Awards on 16th of June 2015.

Now let’s see who the winners are.

The Casino Operator of the Year award went to Paddy Power.

The casino has a Playtech-powered mobile site with lots of interesting games to choose from. What’s more, Paddy Power also got the Highly Commended Slots Operator of the Year title.

The Poker Operator of the Year award went to Sky Betting & Gaming. Sky Casino is also Playtech-powered and features not only slots but live dealer table games as well. In fact, they have their own branded live studio, so it’s worth checking out.

The Mobile Casino Product of the Year award went to our beloved Casumo casino. They have won 3 years in a row and also got the Mobile Casino Product of the Year award.

Leo Vegas -- Slots Operator and Best Affiliate Programme 2015.
LeoVegas — Slots Operator of the Year.

Moving on to the LeoVegas casino, which won two EGR Operator awards this year. They are The Slots Operator of the Year and have The Best Affiliate Programme.

That’s pretty much all as far as casino awards go.

Now to the Game of the Year prize.

EGR Operator Awards 2015 Game of the Year Winner

There were 8 games that were shortlisted for the Game of the year award. On Monday 23 November 2015, only one winner was announced. What do you think who won?

Spiñata Grande (NetEnt) – winner of the Game of the Year award.

Here’s what Simon Hammon, CEO of NetEnt, said:

To win the eGR Game of the Year award, voted for by operators, is fantastic reward for everyone involved in bringing Spiñata Grande to market. NetEnt always strives to design and build games that excite players and fulfil the requirements of our customers.

Let’s see which games it competed against.

EGR B2B Awards 2015 Recap

In case you missed this year’s award ceremony on the 16th of June, here’s a short recap.

NetEnt has had a very successful year and won 4 EGR awards in different categories. They were:

  • The Innovation in Mobile
  • The Mobile Supplier
  • The Slot Provider
  • The Game of the Year

Here’s what they have to say.

Only one iGaming company was able to compete with that – Playtech.

Playtech has done a superb job this year too, winning just as many nominations, including the Platform of the Year award. Here are the 4 EGR awards that Playtech took home from the venue.

  • The Platform of the Year
  • The RNG Casino Supplier
  • The Bingo Supplier
  • The Multi-Channel Supplier

So how the other big names did this year?

You may think Microgaming must have done quite well too. They were pretty happy to be a finalist in 6 categories, like you see from the Twitter feed.

However, they only won in the poker nominations. Here are the 2 coveted poker awards for Microgaming:

  • The best Poker Software
  • The best Poker Network.

Yggdrasil Gaming — an iGaming company with roots in Sweden and offices in Malta – scooped the Software Rising Star of the year award.

Anything mobile-related?

Sure. Odobo, an iGaming marketplace with lots of up-and-coming developers, won the Mobile Gaming Software EGR Award.

The Stockholm-based Quickspin had another successful year and was pleased to get the Innovation in RNG Casino Software award.

Thoughts

So what do you think of the EGR Operator Awards 2015 results?

I was surprised to see that Mr Green wasn’t on the list as they’ve been nominated and successful each year.

Nothing for Guts or Vera&John either.

Spiñata Grande, with its Colossal Wild in Free Spins and a jackpot of 120,000 coins, gained quick popularity among players, so be sure to give it a try at!
