Walking Wilds + Re-Spins

Paso, Pepe and Pico are back and they have more than one role to play in this train-heist release. First of all, they are the three high-paying symbols with a top prize of 50x for 6-of-a-kind. Note that these and the five lower-paying symbols can also appear stacked, so they can cover a substantial portion of the screen in a single spin. That is essential given that the slot pays only 466 ways, which is not that much for a 6-reeled slot machine.

Walking Wilds are now ever-present, because Paso, Pepe and Pico can randomly appear as such special symbols on reel 6. When they do, they will start moving leftward with each new spin, which counts as a free re-spin. There could be more than one Walking Wild at a time and all instances of the Walking Wild Taco Brother will also be converted into wilds until the walking wild spins off the first reel. The brilliant thing about this is that you can have a long series of spins with lots of wilds at no charge, in the base game!

Another refresh to the game comes in the form of Walking Multiplier Wilds.

Walking Multiplier Wild

Just like Walking Wild Taco Brothers, Walking Multiplier Wilds can also appear at any time on reel 6. They will walk their way to reel 1 the same way, and any additional instances of wild symbols will get the same multiplier. The multipliers will be combined should the pay-line pass through more than one multiplier wild.

Also good to know that any bonus symbols that land during such re-spins will become sticky, so there’s a higher chance of collecting all three that are needed for the main bonus.

Free Spins Bonus

The Free Spins bonus play similarly to the original Taco Brothers slot, with at least 3 Scatters needed to activate it. Captain Diaz as a blocker symbol and Senorita as a revival symbol are back and play an essential part here too. There won’t be any win multipliers added to the total wins by default. Instead, each Walking Wild Taco Brother will have a progressive multiplier when they drop in one after another from reel 6.

All three Walking Wild Taco Brothers are guaranteed during the freespins. They land in turns on reel 6 and move leftwards towards reel 1. Each time they move, a multiplier on them will increase in random order. When one Taco Brother drops off, the second and then the third one will be added to the reels. Note that the multiplier of the Walking Wild leaving the first reel will be added to the multipliers of the remaining Walking Wilds.

If Captain Diaz appears, he will block and lock up the Walking Wild closest to reel 1, after which any remaining brothers will drop in. Fortunately, like in the original game, Senorita can unlock any of the locked wilds. Likewise, she can also pull the Walking Wild all the way back to reel 6. If that happens in the midst of the action, there can be multiple of them on screen at the same time.

Also new is that if both Senorita and Captain Diaz appear in the same spin, Senorita will block Diaz from locking any wilds and turn him into a wild symbol instead. That can be quite handy at times.

Unlike the 2016-released Taco Brothers, the bonus gets triggered much less frequently but you should expect one every couple of hundred spins or so. This probability shrinks significantly for the Super Bonus.

Super Bonus

You’ll need four bonus symbols to win the Super Bonus. The mechanics are similar to the regular bonus but there’s one major difference: it starts will all three Walking Wilds and the Walking Multiplier Wild simultaneously on reel 6! Moreover, Captain Diaz is wild throughout the Super Bonus game and is unable to lock in any Taco Brother.

Captain Diaz can still do her magic and magnetize one symbol to the rightmost edge every time she appears. This not only gives you +1 free spin but also shifts the wilds in a way that makes it easier to form big wins. What’s more, because all leaving Walking Wild Multipliers will be applied to the remaining ones, it can make for a very interesting ending with multipliers often exceeding 30x!
